Develop a coalition of architectural and interior design firms that choose to practice all design services in accord with LEED or other measurable green design standards.
Develop a coalition of construction and building businesses who routinely operate construction services through the management of reduced wastes, recycling and/or reuse of materials, and energy efficiencies for their companies and their services.
Work with the Green Businesses Coalition to use similar certification, identification and public communications.
Develop and propose to City government the installation of a package of incentives for green design and construction companies.
Establish, in consort with the Lincoln Building and Safety Department, a Green Codes and Ordinances Task Force to analyze and propose changes, if necessary, to facilitate the design and construction of new and renovated green buildings.
In cooperation with the Education for Green Communities Coalition, develop a package of educational materials for delivery to the professions and the public on green design, construction, and the management and retrofit of existing facilities.
