Build a coalition of Lincoln/Lancaster County businesses that choose to engage in business practices and/or services that contribute to green environments, products, goods and services, or citizen life-styles. Such businesses must demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and on-going practices for the reduction of material wastes, conservation of energy and other natural resources, and/or the reduction of the city’s carbon footprint.

Develop a system of certification, identification, and public information on the coalition’s members and their products and services.

Develop a library of cost benefits and cost effective practices for green businesses.

Develop a system of resources and educational opportunities for businesses interested in affiliation with the coalition.

Investigate eco-industrial networks and waste-stream dispositions.

Develop linkages, networks, and connections with other organizations with similar or supporting goals and objectives.
