In consort with the Sustainable Agriculture program at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, create an Eco/Green Food Task Force to work with regional producers and local market opportunities for “grow local, buy local” food systems.
Work with the Lincoln Public Schools and other institutions and centers of food consumption to bring producers into networks of markets for locally grown produce.
Work with the existing seasonal Farmers’ Markets to strengthen the networks of producers, vendors, and consumers.
